Having the HP LaserJet 3150 printer in the workplace is like having four different machines that do diverse tasks. Obviously, its primary purpose is to print on paper. However, within the same compact unit, you may also do reproducing, scanning and faxing, all performed by the
LaserJet 3150 Printer Toner Cartridge, although such tasks are rendered in black and white.

Aside from the usual letter, legal and executive paper sizes, this unit can also work with other media of varying sizes. You can choose to print on card stock, transparencies, envelopes, labels and others using LaserJet 3150 Printer Toner. When it comes to print turnouts, it has a speed of 6 pages per minute (ppm). Up to 600 dots per inch (dpi) resolution is possible. Warm up time is approximately 18 seconds.

When using this unit as a photocopying machine, 6 copies per minute (cpm) can be performed. As with the printing, the resolution may be set to a max of 600 dpi. Got tons of pages to reproduce? Just make use of the multiple copying function, which can copy up to 99 pages for every task. It also comes with a collation feature that’s automatic.

As a scanner, this machine is never without allowing you flexibility. Scanning resolutions include 300 dots per inch (optical) with 256 grayscale levels. However, it may also be enhanced to scan with resolutions of up to 600 dots per inch. Scanning speed, excluding transfer of data from the computer’s CPU, is 6 pages per minute. Scannable areas include 2″ x 3.5″ (minimum) and 8.5″ x 39″ (maximum).

As a fax machine, this may work with or without a computer. It will take the machine approximately 6 seconds in transmitting a page. Up to 30 pages can be processed by its document feeder, which is fully automatic. The usual A4, letter and legal are the fax paper sizes. Resolution of pages may also be set or changed. They include 203 dpi x 98 dpi (standard), 203 dpi x 196 dpi (fine) and 300 dpi x 300 dpi (superfine). A halftone-enabled 300 dpi x 300 dpi (photo) resolution is also possible.

It’s compatible with ITU Group 3, and fax coding schemes MMR, MH, MR, and JBIG compressions. Modem speed is anywhere from 2400 to 14400 bps (bits per second). The printer’s quick dialing features include programmable speed dials of equal to 175, and 25 distribution lists.

Just because it packs in a variety of features doesn’t mean the unit is very bulky. In fact, it’s very compact, and will fit into virtually any space available in an office or workplace. It measures 10.8 inches in height, 15.1 inches in width, and 15.4 inches in depth. This laser jet weighs 23.4 lbs, with the HP LaserJet Laser Toner inside. Ease of operation is ensured by the LCD and 35 buttons on the control panel.

This laser jet can handle scanning and printing tasks at the same time. However, if a fax comes in while the machine is printing, the incoming document is momentarily stored on the memory. After the printing task is done, then it automatically prints the stored document. The built-in memory, by the way, is 2 MB and it is capable of storing up to 150 fax pages.

The HP LaserJet 3150 printer is compact, yet capable of multiple functions. With just one machine, a workplace’s printing, copying, scanning and faxing needs are met. If you are looking for something that can help out with your business’ efficiency and productivity, then look no further.
